NEW YORK CITY
Well I must admit my visit to the most populated US city far exceeded my expectations. The metropolitan area is full of wide variety of very high buildings and two of the most famous entertainment venues. The variety of people were a feast for those who like people watching.
Most important was a day to honor those who perished in the tragedy of 9/11.
AHHHHH THE GREAT PEOPLE WATCHING
A WALK THROUGH CENTRAL PARK, THE JOHN LENNON MEMORIAL, AND DESSERT AT THE END
Most significant was a day-long tour of the 9/11 Memorial led by a first responder. Before entering the museum we heard of the bravery and service beyond the call of duty of so many. The outside fountain on an original tower footprint with names surrounding brought a moment of contemplation.
Seeing a photo of what was before this horrendous event and the flight of the two jets loaded with innocent people and those with evil on their minds was heart breaking. But hope and the American Spirit were exemplified by words and the magnificent One World Trade Center.
