I don’t know if my words are adequate. I struggle to express the joy, the pride, the wonder and awe. I don’t have words for the overwhelming feelings that result in free flowing tears both last night and today. The United States of America has elected as its 44th president a Black man. 43 white males preceded him, twelve of them were slave owners (as if you can really own another human). Change has come to America. Parents who have previously told black children they could become president were not believed by these children, now it will be different. I believe he will make a difference for those children, America and for the world.
